The CAplus File (SciFinder Scholar) includes both Chemical Abstracts from 1907, as well as additional records, such as:
American Chemical Society National Meeting Abstracts since 1995.
In-process records prior to full CAS indexing for both articles and patents.
Biographical material, book reviews, editorials, etc., since Oct. 1994 from 1,580 journals.
Over 21K records for journal articles dated before 1907 (including JACS 1879+ and JPC 1898+).
Cited references are included for journals, conference proceedings, and basic patents from the US, EPO, WIPO, and German patent offices added to the CAS databases from 1997 to the present.
Bibliographic information and available abstracts for articles from nearly 1,500 key chemical journals are added within 1 week of journal receipt. The CAplus File is updated daily with about 3,000 new bibliographic records and weekly with indexing for about 14,000 records.

Nomenclature revision for block polymers, which began in June 2004, has been completed.
Specific terms, such as diblock, triblock, tetrablock or pentablock, are now used for all block polymers registered since 1987. Stereoblock was added, when appropriate, for block polymers registered since 1967.
